Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar pada Materi Pecahan

Abstract

The low mathematics learning outcomes of class III 2nd semester students at SD Negeri 2 Kanoman were the background for this research. This research is in the form of Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research was carried out based on four stages which included activities: (1) planning, (2) implementing actions, (3) observing, and (4) reflecting on each cycle. Class III students at Kanoman State Elementary School were the subjects of this research. Data collection in this research used interview techniques with class III teachers regarding the learning process in class, and used written test techniques in the form of pre-tests and post-tests to determine the learning outcomes of class III students at SD Negeri 2 Kanoman. The results of data analysis state that the application of the discovery learning model to fractions can improve student learning outcomes as evidenced by an increase in class averages and classical completion in each cycle. Before the action was given, the number of classical completeness was 45.71%, but in cycle I it increased to 57% and in cycle II it increased again to 79.57%.
