Abstract

The hypnoteaching method is a creative, unique and imaginative learning method. In this study, when studying Arabic in class, students thought that Arabic was difficult, there were more students who had not learned Arabic from the start, and there were more passive students. Researchers want to change students' mindsets that Arabic is easy to understand, so that students are motivated to learn. The research aims to determine the application of the hypnoteaching method in Arabic language learning and analyze the influence of the application of the hypnoteaching method on students' motivation to learn Arabic. This research was carried out at the Salafiyah Ula Islamic Center Bin Baz Yogyakarta. The research method uses a quantitative approach with an experimental type. Data collection methods in this research used pretest posttest questionnaires, observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research showed that the application of the hypnoteaching method had an effect on the motivation to learn Arabic for class III students at the Salafiyah Ula Islamic Center Bin Baz. This is proven by the paired sample t-test that in the experimental class a sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.000 ˂ 0.05 while the control class obtained a sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.221 ˃ 0.05. So it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant influence of the application of the hypnoteaching method on the motivation to learn Arabic for class III students at the Salafiyah Ula Islamic Center Bin Baz Yogyakarta.
