This research aims to explore the implementation of learning the art of Arabic calligraphy (Khot/imla') in class VIIA Salafiyah Wustho Islamic Center Bin Baz Islamic Boarding School Yogyakarta as well as the success factors and obstacles. Using qualitative methods by collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation, this research reveals that learning Arabic calligraphy has a significant positive impact in helping students write Arabic according to established rules. Students also find it easy to learn Arabic and other Diniyah subjects because the books used are in Arabic. Supporting factors for this learning include active classes, student enthusiasm in understanding Arabic language rules, and student involvement in asking questions. However, obstacles arise from the students' backgrounds who have no previous experience in learning Arabic or reciting the Koran, causing them to experience difficulties in understanding learning the art of Arabic calligraphy. The implications of this research can be used to enrich Arabic language learning strategies and adapt them to the needs of students who have diverse educational backgrounds.
