Abstract

Sharia education is education related to worship and Islamic law that has been established for practice. Appropriate facilities and media are needed so that sharia education can be taught effectively and efficiently in accordance with increasingly rapid developments. Films can be a means or medium for conveying educational messages. This type of research is library research. The method used to collect data is the documentation method. The data analysis that researchers use is content analysis, namely research carried out on information documented in video recordings, whether in images, sound or writing. Then a descriptive interpretation is carried out, namely by providing an overview and interpretation as well as a description of the data that has been collected. The results of this research indicate that the documentary film Koran By Heart has sharia educational values contained in it. There are 10 values of sharia education contained in this film, namely: congregational prayer, fasting during Ramadan, the call to prayer, dhikr, prayer, ablution, memorizing the Koran, covering one's private parts, maintaining a beard and not being irritable, and traveling to seek knowledge.
