Disgraceful behavior such as teasing and insulting is widespread in society, and it is feared that it can damage the morals of the younger generation. This indicates the importance of character education, which is emphasized in the 2011 Ministry of National Education Law. This research aims to analyze the values of character education contained in Surah Al-Hujurat verse 11 according to the interpretation of Imam Ibnu Katsir and its relevance to the 2011 Ministry of National Education Law This research uses qualitative methods with a literature approach (library research). Data is collected through documentation, namely by analyzing various references such as books, journals and online articles. The results of the research show that Surah Al-Hujurat verse 11 contains character education values such as not having bad prejudice, not backbiting, and maintaining the honor of oneself and others. These values are in line with the characteristics expected in the 2011 Ministry of National Education Law, such as caring for the environment, loving peace, communicativeness, hard work and love of the homeland.
