Abstract

This research aims to determine 1) the learning of Nahwu by the students of the tenth grade at Islamic Centre Bin Baz Putri Madrasah Aliyah, 2) to identify the problems in Nahwu learning, 3) to understand the factors influencing the emergence of these problems, and 4) to find solutions to the difficulties in Nahwu learning. This study adopts a participatory research approach with a descriptive qualitative design. The subjects of the research include Nahwu subject teachers, tenth-grade students at Islamic Centre Bin Baz Putri Madrasah Aliyah, and curriculum experts. Data collection techniques involve observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques utilize Miles and Huberman's theory through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the problems in Nahwu learning can be categorized into two groups: linguistic issues related to pronunciation, vocabulary, and writing, and non-linguistic issues related to learning media, educators, and learners. Factors influencing the problems in Nahwu learning include teachers' insufficient understanding of the material, low student motivation, and peer distractions. Solutions to address these issues include improving the quality of teaching staff, collaborating with qualified educators, and providing high-quality learning media
