Abstract

The low understanding of monotheism material in class 3A Salafiyah Ula Jamilurrahman is mostly caused by the use of learning methods that are less suited to the character of the material. In an effort to provide an understanding of monotheistic material about faith, it is necessary to choose a method that can map the mind to obtain information. It is hoped that the mind mapping method can provide solutions in learning monotheism. The approach used in this research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart research model. The subjects of this research were students in class 3A Salafiyah Ula Jamilurrahman Yogyakarta, consisting of 26 students. Based on research results, the use of the mind mapping method can improve learning outcomes in monotheism subjects. This can be seen from the learning results of students in cycle I, that 61.5% of the 16 students achieved the KKM from their learning results, while 38.5% of the 10 students had not yet reached the KKM. Meanwhile, in cycle II there was an increase of 84.6% from 22 students who completed and 4 students who had not yet reached the KKM.
