Abstract

This research is based on the theory that there are obstacles in salafiyah wustho class IX children in mastering Arabic vocabulary, especially those used in the context of the Qur'an. This is an obstacle to their ability to read and understand the Qur'an comprehensively. This study aims to determine the level of vocabulary mastery and the ability to read the Qur'an of IX Salafiyah Wustho students and to examine whether there is a relationship between Arabic vocabulary mastery and the ability to read the Qur'an. This research refers to research methods conducted in the field using quantitative methods that involve collecting data directly from the source. For the results of the research hypothesis test, the results of the correlation calculation between variables X and Y show a significance value of 0.34 and a correlation coefficient value of 0.376, so Ho is rejected and the hypothesis is accepted. This concludes that there is a correlation between variables X and Y, but the level of correlation between the two variables is low.
