Implementasi Reward Dan Punishment Dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi Bahasa Arab Kelas X MA ICBB Putri Yogyakarta

Abstract

This study aims to make a scientific contribution to the implementation of rewards and punishments in increasing the motivation of Arabic language class X MA ICBB Putri Yogyakarta. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with the type of research in the form of field research. The data source that will be extracted for information in this study is the process of Arabic learning activities with the application of reward and punishment methods implemented in class X of Madrasah Aliyah. The procedure used to collect a number of data to be studied in this study uses several procedures that will be analyzed by interactive analysis. The results of the study found that the application of rewards and punishments in class X MA ICBB Putri Yogyakarta in Arabic language subjects can increase the learning motivation of students in class X MA ICBB Putri Yogyakarta, several types of rewards given to students in Arabic language learning in class X MA ICBB Putri Yogyakarta include verbal praise and appreciation through writing, forms of punishment applied in Arabic language learning in class X MA ICBB Putri Yogyakarta include preventive punishment and repressive punishment. It was also found that the supporting and inhibiting factors of the application of rewards and punishments in increasing students' learning motivation are the self-awareness of the students themselves, motivation from the surrounding such as teachers and parents, and the response of the participants.
