Abstract

The problems that researchers found in the results of preliminary studies in class VII Salafiyah Wustha Islamic Centre Bin Baz Yogyakarta, the data obtained showed that the ability to read the Koran of students in class VII was still relatively weak, this was obtained from the tahfidz scores of some seventh grade students who were still not in accordance with the KKM set by the school. The purpose of this research is to find out how the application of the Bin Baz method in class VII and to know the results of the influence of the Bin Baz method. Quantitative method is the method used in this research. This study is a population study of 53 students. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews and documentaries. To analyse the data, researchers used a simple linear regression formula with the results obtained, namely a significance value of 0.001 smaller than 0.05 at a significance level of 18% so that 0.001 <0.05. Thus, the hypothesis in this study is accepted. Based on the research and discussion, it can be seen that the application of the Bin Baz method in class VII Salafiyah Wustha has been running smoothly and has followed the teaching standards determined by the tahfidz team, and it is concluded that the Bin Baz method has an effect on the ability to read the Quran in class VII Salafiyah Wustha Islamic Centre Bin Baz Yogyakarta. Therefore, it is very important to really maximise the use of the Bin Baz method and pay attention to other factors that can improve students' ability to read the Quran.
