Abstract

Islamic history teachers not only act as educators but also as role models in daily life, significantly influencing students' attitudes, motivation, and behavior. This study aims to examine the role of Islamic history teachers in shaping the affective behavior of 11th-grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Islamic Centre Bin Baz Putri Yogyakarta. This research uses a qualitative method. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation to understand how Islamic history teachers shape students' affective behavior and the strategies used, along with the supporting and inhibiting factors of the process. The results of the study indicate that Islamic history teachers play an important role in shaping students' affective behavior through a personal approach, instilling moral and religious values, and contextual and interactive learning. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more effective learning strategies in Islamic education and to enhance understanding of the importance of the teacher's role in shaping student character.
