Abstract
This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of the YouTube channel "Arabic 101" as a learning medium for standard Arabic pronunciation among non-Arabic speakers using the Media Learning Theory approach. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of low Arabic pronunciation skills among Indonesian learners, who are still influenced by their mother tongue accent despite having studied grammar and vocabulary rules. The "Arabic 101" channel was chosen as the research object because it offers systematic, interactive, and focused audiovisual content on pronunciation and articulation of letters and words in Fusha Arabic. This research uses a descriptive-analytical qualitative method with non-participatory observation techniques on the video series "How to Speak Arabic like an Arab" and literature studies as secondary data. Analysis was conducted based on the principles of the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning to assess how visual, audio, and style elements in the channel can improve viewers' understanding and speaking skills. The results show that the application of video media combining articulator visualization, audio examples, and interactive exercises significantly helps learners improve their pronunciation, reduce the influence of their mother tongue accent, and increase their confidence in speaking Arabic. This finding emphasizes the importance of optimizing digital media, particularly YouTube, as an innovative solution for Arabic oral learning in the digital era.
