Abstract
This research is motivated by the rampant deviation and violence in the educational environment in the current era of globalization. This shows the importance of implementing learning that focuses on human values to support the development of student potential. Therefore, the implementation of humanistic education in schools is very crucial so that the teaching and learning process can run optimally. The method used in this study is descriptive with a qualitative approach, which aims to describe the implementation of the humanistic approach in the schools studied. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study analyzes how learning aqidah akhlak is implemented humanistically, and identifies factors that are obstacles or supporters in the learning process. The results of the study indicate that learning that applies a humanistic approach runs effectively through stages that include planning, implementation, and evaluation based on human values. This helps students develop their potential optimally for happiness in this world and the hereafter. Inhibiting factors in this application include monotonous teacher teaching methods, disturbed student health conditions, the influence of modernization, minimal parental attention, and limited facilities and infrastructure. Meanwhile, supporting factors include strategic school locations, student awareness, teacher attention, tolerance between students, and the existence of regular donors.
